Drawings
I carry my sketchbook absolutely everywhere! Not only is it a great way to keepsake memories, it also helps keep my eye sharp. My personal sketchbook is filled with random doodles and places I've been to or seen, but I like to bring a pencil with me on set and to the office as well. It's helped tremendously during the initial concept phases, in communicating art direction with peers and directors, and envisioning framing and set design.
Painting
Watercolor has quickly become one of my favorite mediums, but I do also enjoy painting with acrylics. One of my favorite pieces is a handstitched and illustrated short story titled Perfumed Words. This story of loss and self-discovery is told only using flowers and their given meanings. My watercolor explorations as of late have been still lifes, mainly fruits, flowers, and mixing custom colors.
Printmaking
Learning printmaking and bookbinding has been such a blessing in the commercial print space have helped bring my work to the next level in both print and digital media. Through woodblock carving, paper making, suminigashi, embossing, and screenprinting, I've gained an appreciation for different substrates, foils, inks and how colors can interact with one another.
Digital Illustrations
While most, if not all, of my work begins pencil to paper, there are a few exceptions. I like to experiment with different brushes, textures, and blending tools when illustrating digitally.
